The UX/UI Design Bootcamp helps adults land their first job in tech design. The course teaches learners how to conceptualize technical design challenges, as well as the processes used to solve them!
This curriculum combines UX & UI Design for a holistic approach to critical design thinking skills that help major brands interact with their users.
What constitutes "good" or "bad" user experience? What questions need to be asked in order to test the usability of your product? Explore that and more as you develop core problem solving skills through human-centered design exercises and learn to convey meaning through visuals. You'll be introduced to user research methods and techniques via relevant exercises.
Iterative design means building the structure of your products contextually. You'll discover the methodologies behind common applications and websites, and learn to evaluate them appropriately. This is done by creating information architecture models, and then sketching wireframes based on your user scenarios and stories. Screen flow diagrams and paper prototyping will provide yet another avenue for you to learn the applications of iterative design.
Setting performance goals, and then using specific tools to evaluate the progress towards them, are another important part of the UX/UI Design process. Your results and user feedback will then motivate any further edits to the design or functionality; you'll learn how to handoff your findings and projects to developers for implementation, and bring all your research together to make a compelling story of your findings.
Your final project will build your portfolio and teach you to use design thinking to work through real industry challenges. You'll develop a design solution that addresses this problem by putting the user first. The result will be a prototype with accompanying design artifacts as well as a robust presentation to include in your portfolio.
